Live Online 2-Day LSO Course

Live Online 2-Day Laser Safety Officer -- Two Days (Tuesday and Wednesday)

Save travel time and money without sacrificing course quality.

This Industrial Laser Safety Officer course meets the needs of all LSOs with industrial laser applications and includes practical examples of laser safety for industry and research. It is presented live online by instructors with decades of hands-on experience with lasers and laser safety. This non-mathematical course uses laser hazard analysis software (included) as an instructional aid and to perform laser hazard analyses of students’ lasers. It uses the same course materials and covers the same topics as our 2-day public LSO course, but you attend this course over the internet on your own computer.

This course consists of 15 50-minute sessions and an individual follow-up (13 contact hours; the same total duration as our 2-day public LSO course). There are 6 pre-recorded sessions that you can view on your own schedule and 9 live sessions. The course includes:
3 recorded sessions completed before live training begins
2 days of live training (9 live and 3 recorded sessions)
Individual follow-up by phone or email to assure all questions are answered

Live training begins at 11 a m Eastern (8 a m Pacific) time on Tuesday and noon on Wednesday. It concludes by 5 p m (2 p m Pacific) both days. There is a one-hour lunch break at 1 p m Eastern (10 a m Pacific) each day. This schedule allows students more time to absorb the material than a public course and leaves two hours each day that they can devote to their job responsibilities. It also allows easier scheduling for students in multiple time zones.

You give up the face-to-face, classroom experience in exchange for the travel time and cost saving; we maintain course quality by limiting each class to 12 participants, encouraging questions, providing individual attention, and discussing your specific lasers and situation. All sessions are recorded and are available online for one month following the course. Our usual follow-up support by phone or email is included.

All students receive a printed book containing presentation slides and instructor’s notes, Easy Haz™ Industrial LSO laser hazard analysis software (regular price $200), extensive supplemental materials, and a certificate of completion.

The cost for the 13 contact hour course (2-day public course equivalent) is $850.
This course is approved for 24 AAHP CE Credits, 2.17 ABIH CM Points, and 2 BLS CM Points.

Courses are currently scheduled for May 25-26 and August 24-25. Additional courses will be scheduled as needed.
